Automated baling solution for picking line cardboard
Kenburn Waste Management has recently completed the installation of a Bramidan HC fully automatic horizontal baler at the Castleford UK Distribution Centre of pharmaceutical company, Teva UK Limited.
Teva had been using a compaction solution, since the site opened in 2008, which required high levels of manual intervention. Kenburn was asked to supply an automated solution with a small footprint. The Bramidan HC20 Baler was agreed upon, as it is fully automatic and only requires 3.75 sq metres of floorspace.
Teva Site Services Manager, Kenny Gray, commented: “Kenburn worked closely with us to identify the best solution for our needs. The small machine footprint was essential to minimise the space needed and as we need to operate a ‘clean environment’, Kenburn also worked with us to design and build special covers for the baler. The end result is a much more reliable, cleaner, automated solution.”
